NEW FUNDING FOR AFTERSCHOOL AND SUMMER ARTS PROGRAMS - ACT NOW!

The Minnesota State Arts Board is pleased to announce seven new grant programs that will support arts and arts access, arts learning, and arts and cultural heritage across the state, and will give Minnesotans more opportunities to experience the arts.  The programs are underwritten by an appropriation from the state legislature from Minnesota's new arts and cultural heritage fund.

The new programs are intentionally broad and flexible so that a diverse array of activities can be funded.  Nonprofit organizations, communities, units of government, educational institutional, arts organizations, artists, and others are encouraged to apply.

Information about three of the seven programs is now available on the Arts Board's Web site at www.arts.state.mn.us

Information about the remaining programs will be available next week.

Please take a minute today to review the program information.  Application deadlines begin in early February.

We want to make these new opportunities available to all Minnesotans, so will appreciate your forwarding this message to anyone you think might be interested.

If you have questions about the arts and cultural heritage fund or the new programs, please don't hesitate to contact the Arts Board at msab@arts.state.mn.us, (651) 215-1600, or (800) 866-2787.
